Priceless Memories

Everyone of us only wants to preserve our family priceless memories such us the old photos we got. That’s why we scrappers scrap to preserve the memories of our love ones so that when time comes our children’s children can look up to the photos we have right now. I also want to scrap the old photos that my Mom got specially the ones from my grannies but since they are old pics and still in the film, I thought film transfer will definitely solve my problem! I tried looking online for a 8mm film to DVD months ago but I am so glad that I finally found this site that makes only the best 8mm to DVD! My granny will turn 72 this year and since my Grandad died already she will surely be happy if I can turn the film pics to DVD. I wanted it done since last year but failed! And by restoring the photos it means I can definitely scrap them as well! How clever is that! This site offers great and quality products that I’m sure you will find it useful! Look at this sample here! Isn’t it a great thing? :) Check it out for more informations! I see that they have affordable prices from any services they offer!

Moving on to Kanchanaburi!

~Photo is the Bridge of the River Kwai. Below photo is somewhere in the JEATH Museum. Golden Gate..

Here’s an excerpt on the trip we had a few years ago while I wrote this in an online travel site:)

Just thought it’s helpful to those who will be traveling there! Kanchanaburi, where it stands on the banks of the Mae Khlong River, at a point where it separates into the Kwai Noi and the Kwai Yai. Where merely about 2 and a half hours from Bangkok. The famous River Kwai Bridge is without doubt the most visited destination, it is a part of the death railway to Burma, where many P.O.W have died. A very sad experience yet it’s great to know some history! There are also fine National Parks with many waterfalls and the usual elephant riding and bamboo rafting.

Anyhow, the tour started very early in the morning, they(coach) picked us up around 6:30 am and directly go picked up another 3 visitors around Sathorn area. And then, we departed to Kanchanaburi around 8:00am and arrived 10:30 exactly at the Kanchanaburi War Cemetery: The cemetery of the remains of over 6,000 prisoners of war, who lost their lives during the heavy construction of the “Death Railway”..and after a few minutes of waiting for the other three tourist, I did took few photo’s as it’s a cemetery.. we directly go to JEATH Museum(World War II Museum)*:It’s an open air museum constructed in the form of actual prisoners of war (POW) camp. There are collections of photographs, pictures, articles, pistols, knives and so many other things from the construction of the “Death Railway” . It was very hot but we did managed to take a long tail boat down to see the famous, Bridge of the River Kwai*, there are alot of people around. But of course, the highlight of the tour was to see and cross the bridge..so, I did cross the bridge where the train almost hit me..thanks to the old man trying to save me coz hubby was in the other side. Anyway, one of those experiences…after a while we waited for the train and that it took us 1 1/2 hour to be in Nam Tok Station* to just see the “Death Railway” After that, we went to ride an Elephant! Fun times!

Beaches in Koh Samet

I will cover mostly all the places in Thailand that we visited. So, you’ll definitely see more on Thailand this days. After that, I’ll move on to another country;)

Koh Samet, located in the Phe District of Rayong, is known as an Island Paradise of Thailand*. The fascinating asset of Koh Samet lies in the fact that the island offers a tranquil atmosphere combining with the white sandy beaches and crystalline clear sea-water. It’s a paradise just the backyard of Bangkok!

It’s somewhere of the east coast of Thailand merely 4 to 5 hours(175 kilometers) by bus from Bangkok. If you were lucky and the bus driver do his driving fastly it will only take you about 4 hrs. to the Phe District of Rayong. In order to catch the boat or ferry to cross to Koh Samet. The boat rides takes about 30 minutes. And from the Koh Samet pier there are several pick-up tracks of 50baht/person to the resort you’re going to!

I have to say, this place is a PARADISE! ;) We went there 5 times and I know when I say it’s fab or not!
