Yay! I’m 28 and loving it! 
How time flies..
It’s only December 28, 1am here and hubby surprised me with this beautiful flowers! How sweet:) I got teary eyed because my boys knows my soft spot and DH got me wishes..sigh..Anyway, we don’t have anything planned yet on where to go but I’m sure a dinner is in order for this,right? Not going anywhere far since hubby has 2 weeks vacation so we have plenty of time to go for a side trip..Hmm..I still have a lot to write about my hopes and dreams for the upcoming more years to come..But I guess, this is not the right post..Will just update later after the celebration!

So since its my big day, I will have a little RAK here in my bloggy. And I have received a lot of gifts this December from the wonderful people in this Digital Community so I want to pay back time{in a good way}! Why I love my birthday? It’s the only day when I can be assured of some ME time!!! And that is so hard to come by with 3 kids! LOL!

I love my birthday because every year that I grow older I learn more about myself and discover more of what truly makes me happy and secure in my life. I think I learn to love and embrace who I actually am the older that I get and thats why I love my birthday!

Oh…and why I love my birthday…hmmmmmm…probably because it’s the one day of the year that it’s all about me. I get too caught up in taking care of my family, friends, and church the rest of the year…I just tend to blow myself off too often. My birthday is the one day that I truly realize how much that means to those around me. I receive lots of cards and good wishes from these people that appreciate me and all that I do. And let me tell ya…what a great present that is!!! Heck…if I’m REALLY lucky, I may even get to shower that day without one of the kids in the bathroom with me!

Why do I love my birthday? It is pretty much the only day out of the year that I feel special that I get to do things for myself and buy things just for me. People who haven’t called you for months will call you just to wish you a happy birthday!

It’s the 28th already? LOL! Not here yet, but hey, I’ve got to come over here and check out your bloggy! No, what is it that I like about my birthday…hmm…that’s a tough one…not liking them so much now that I’m well into my 40s. My hubby always gets me something really neat, though. I like that he understands that I want techie gifts or something to indulge myself. This year he got me a spa gift certificate, which I have yet to use! Finding it hard to find the time to go, but I really want to…sooon! I’m dying for a massage! The flowers your Al got you are GORGEOUS!!! Love flowers! Enjoy your day…or is your day over yet? The time zone difference…I can’t figure it out!

Hmmm…I love my birthday because it is that one day in a year that I get to reflect on the things that I have done in the past year and the things that I want to accomplish as I get a year older. I am again reminded how much I am blessed to be alive and have so many people that loves me. I get to thank all those who have shared this journey of life with me, and those who have made my life beautiful and full of adventure. This also marks a new beginning for me, new experiences…new challenges and new memories. Lastly, I love my birthday because my husband makes it extra special for me.

I’m blessed with a husband and daughters who make me feel loved and special all the time, so these days I celebrate my birthday as a gift of life, another year as a survivor, another year to get to know my daughter’s wonderful husbands a little closer, and watch my four grandchildren grow tall and strong. Seeing them all happy is God’s gift to me each birthday!

Why I Love My Birthday?
Because every year I am reminded how lucky I am that God allowed me to live and for who have Mamu spent every single penny on me just to live.
You see I was born premature a 6.5 mos., only a little bit over 2 lbs. My mom did not want to touch me in fear that she will kill me. So it was Mamu who was there day in and day out in hospital until I was 5 months old and able to go home. Surviving premature birth in the 70s in Pinas was tough and very costly. But Mamu made sure that everyone prayed that she’s able to give out all her resources to keep me alive.
As a kid, I loved my birthdays because of the new toys, clothes, baloons and the parties. As I grow older, it was the gift of friendships and family that keeps me looking forward to that day. A day that I can spend with lots of family being happy for me.
Wow, this has become a blog entry by itself. Sorry for rambling on and on.
